How to Onboard Team Members in Atlas

In this guide, you'll learn how to onboard team members in Atlas.

What is this for?

Register your team members in Atlas so they can receive and activate their cards.

Who can do this?

Account administrators only.


You have 2 options:

  • Option A: Add team members one by one

  • Option B: Upload your entire team in bulk using a CSV file


Option A: Add an individual team member

Steps:

  1. Go to the "Teams" tab

  2. Click on "Add a team member"

  3. Select "Add individual member"

4. Complete the information:

Personal Information (all required except language):

  • First name *

  • Last name *

  • Email *

  • Country *

  • Date of birth *

  • Language (optional)

Position Information (optional):

  • Job title

  • Department

  • Manager

5. Onboarding Settings:

  • Define when the employee will join Atlas:

    Select the date when you want the team member to receive their welcome email

⚠️ Important: This date determines when the automatic onboarding email will be sent to the team member with instructions to activate their card.

6. Review and confirm in "Review and confirm"


Option B: Upload entire team (CSV)

Ideal for: Teams of 10+ people or when migrating from another system.

Steps:

  1. Go to the "Teams" tab

  2. Click on "Add a team member"

  3. Select "Upload CSV"

  4. Download the CSV template

  5. Complete the file with your team's data: • Name • LastName • Email • Country

  6. Upload the completed file

  7. Review for errors

  8. Confirm the upload

What happens next?

On the date you selected, the employee will receive two emails:

  • An onboarding email to create their password and access Atlas.

  • An email with information about the card and instructions to complete their individual KYC verification.

⏱️ Activation time: Once the team member completes their verification, their card will be active in 24-48 hours.


Important points:

📧 The email is sent automatically on the date you configure. Make sure it's a date when the team member is already onboarded at the company.

🌍 Team members can be in any of the 60+ countries where Atlas operates.

✏️ You can edit a team member's data before they activate their card.

  1. Q: Can I change the onboarding date after creating the team member?

    A: Yes, you can edit it from the Teams section before the email is sent.

  2. Q: Does the team member need to do anything to activate their card?

    A: Yes, they must complete their individual KYC and follow the instructions in the welcome email.

  3. Q: What if I wrote the team member's email incorrectly?

    A: You can edit the email before the onboarding date. If it was already sent, contact us to resend it.
