⚠️ Before updating your location, you will need to spend the store credit, cancel subscriptions, and set up a payment method for the new country or region.
What you need to do before changing your country or region:
Spend any remaining balance on your Apple ID. If you're unsure if you have a balance, check your Apple account balance.
Cancel subscriptions and wait until the subscription period ends.
Wait for subscriptions, reservations, movie rentals, or pending store credit refunds to be completed. You can cancel a reservation.
Make sure you have a payment method for the new country or region. Check the payment methods you can use.
Redownload your apps, music, movies, TV shows, and books on the devices you plan to use for gaming or reading in the future. Some types of content may not be available in your new country or region. Find out which types of content and services are available in your new country or region.
👉 To use your iPhone or iPad to change the region:
Open the Settings app.
Tap your name, then tap "Media & Purchases."
Tap "View Account." You may be asked to sign in.
Tap "Country/Region."
Tap "Change Country or Region."
Tap the new country or region and review the terms and conditions.
Tap "Agree" in the upper-right corner, then tap "Agree" again to confirm.
Select a payment method and enter the new payment information and billing address. Then, tap "Next." You must enter a valid payment method for the new country or region.
👉 To use your computer to change the region:
Open the Music or iTunes app.
In the menu bar at the top of the screen or at the top of the iTunes window, click on "Account," and then select either "View My Account" or "Account Settings."
Sign in with your Apple ID.
On the Account Information page, click on "Change Country or Region."
Select the new country or region.
Review the terms and conditions, then click "Agree." Click "Agree" again to confirm.
Enter the new payment information* and the updated billing address, then click "Continue."
You will need to enter a valid payment method for the new country or region.
👉 To change the region on the web:
Sign in to appleid.apple.com.
Click on "Edit" next to your "Personal Information."
Click on "Country/Region."
Follow the on-screen instructions. You will need to enter a valid payment method for the new country or region.
👉 If you can't change the country or region:
If you are unable to change the country or region, make sure you have canceled subscriptions and spent the store credit. Follow these steps before attempting to change the country or region.
If you are part of a Family Sharing group, it's possible that you may not be able to change the country or region. Find out how to leave a Family Sharing group.
